Cycling Time Trails Calendar Sync and Dashboard improvements

Bookmark races, sync your calendar, and get a rider-focused dashboard to build your perfect year.
Happy New Year! Alongside the launch of the 2026 Open Event Calendar, we are pleased to introduce a suite of tools designed to make planning your season even easier.    Bookmarks and Favourites You can now bookmark events, courses, and districts for quick access via your dashboard and the Event Finder.

Personalised Dashboard: Bookmarked events appear in a dedicated ‘watchlist’ on your dashboard, allowing for easy entry as you build your season’s targets. Simply click or tap the bookmark icon against any event in the event listings or on the event page to add the event to your watchlist.

Club & District Integration: Any clubs you are a member of will automatically be listed on your dashboard. This provides a shortcut to club news and events, as well as a direct link to the next upcoming club event. Your preferred district and any others you have bookmarked will also be displayed, making it simpler to stay updated on local news and races.

Enhanced Search: The Event Finder now allows you to filter specifically for events within your clubs, favourite districts, and bookmarked courses providing you with a personalised set of event filters.

New Desktop “Grid” View: We have added a compact grid view optimised for desktop users, allowing you to see more events on your screen at once.    Calendar Integration You can now synchronise your events directly with your preferred calendar application. Supporting Apple, Android, and desktop platforms, this feature makes it easier than ever to track your schedule. Your calendar will automatically include any events where you are: Entered as a participant Tracking a bookmarked event Organising or timekeeping

Find your next event!

We are excited to launch these features today and look forward to sharing more updates and functionality throughout the season.

BECC New Years Day 10TT

A gaggle of Mitres (Cris, Marcus and myself) wrapped up and turned out for the traditional BECC NYD 10TT in Steyning, swelling the field to 25 riders. It was a chilly morning with only one pair of bib shorts on show, and no skin suits.

A few turned out on TT bikes but most rode road bikes. It was a relaxed morning with everyone taking it easy and then tucking into the huge box of pastries Cris produced. Cris (on his road bike) rode to 1st overall – he must have been at no more than 70% as he rode a 22:09. I personally considered it a victory that I was only 4 mins 20 sec slower than him as 2 years ago he started 5 mins after me and still passed me about a kilometre from the finish. Apologies but I don’t have a time for Marcus as I was too busy easy a chocolate twist to take a photo.

With the NYD event out the way we can turn our attention to the year ahead. The CTT web site is now showing all the 2026 events, so please do pop over there for all your TT and Hill Climb news.

Mitre does Matlock

Sunday 26th Oct = last Sunday of October which can only mean the National Hill Climb Championships, hosted this year by Matlock Cycle Club, the infamous Bank Road the climb.

3 1/2 Mitres, Cesare Masset, Robb Cunningham, Philip Waldman plus the 1/2 made up if you count Francis Schofield, the 2nd claim Mitre son that has eloped, riding in Cambridge Uni colours, made it to Matlock.

The whole town seemed to have turned out to cheer on everyone, producing incredible crowds and an atmosphere which blanked out the 4 degrees and occasional heavy shower. 460 riders gathered to take on Bank Road, a formidable climb. 834m in length with an average gradient of 14%, topping out at 20% (for reference Bank Road’s average gradient is just shy of the max gradient on Ditchling Beacon, and Steyning Bostal maxes out at 17%). It’s a relatively short, but savage climb. Matt Stephens was commentating from midway up, showing the climb nicely

Cesare rode an incredible 2min 49.9 sec to place him 5th fastest in the Juniors (the category won by the current junior Road Race World Champion Harry Hudson). We are left to wonder how much time he lost as one of his cleats unclipped as he powered away from the start and he had to clip back in again. Well done Cesare.

Francis rode to 108th overall (75th out of 142 in age category) with a 3min 4.7 sec. To put Cesare’s and Francis’s rides into perspective they both comfortably beat ex-Pro and GCN’s Conor Dunne.

Just behind Cesare and Francis was Robb who rode a 3min 20.6 sec, placing him 159th and 15th out of 29 in age cat).

Philip rode a 4min 1.7 sec placing him 247th (12th out of 17 in age cat).

It was a fantastic weekend – Matlock CC certainly knows how to throw a Hill Climb. The southern massive take-over was completed with Harry Macfarlane winning the event with a 2min 14.7, a considerable 5 seconds margin over Kieran Wynne-Cattanach in 2nd, and the infamous Andrew Feather 3rd a further second behind.
